about should singapore use made-in some other countries talent?
What i want to say is that.... if we continue to use foreigners to compete in the olympics, our home grown talents will not be able to know where they stand in the olympics. What if one day they say " Hey i'm finished representing singapore, I want go back to my country and represent it." Surely that will be a huge blow to Singapore and what if they win gold for singapore. Their countries surely would woo them to represent their own home. Another factor, China trained their olympic squads since they were children. If singapore wants to win gold by using their home-grown talent, the government surely must set up a special school where the candidates for the olympic squads can go to. It's a matter of choices. Surely in the future, when the China born table tennis paddlers are too old, there will be olympic medal drought again and Singapore will wonder which foreign talent to use instead of using their home grown talents. I hope that you all understand what im trying to say for what i have written may confuse you all but please understand that Singapore will no longer be independence if we continue to use foreign talent.
